IPL is one of the top ranked franchise cricket league around the world cricket and almost all top cricketers wants to play in this and Australians are not much different. Presence of top Australian players in IPL 2023 is the proof of this.
Australian Players in Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians seemed to be obsessed with Australian Talent. Initially they had 4 Aussie stars in their squad, but Jhye Richardson got ruled out of IPL 2023 due to injury. Now, 3 Australian stars will be in action for Mumbai Indians during IPL 2023. These include; Cameron Green, Tim David and Jason Behrendorff.
Cameron Green was one of the most expensive players of IPL 2023 as he got a bid of 17 Crore (INR). Green has ordinary T20 stats, but was quite phenomenal in Test Cricket as well as ODIs. Mumbai have shown faith in him.
Tim David and Jason Behrendorff were retained by the Mumbai Indians. David scored 186 runs last year at a strike rate of 216 and average of 37. Behrendorff has 138 wickets at an average of 22 in his T20 career, which makes him a very good T20 bowler.
Australian Players in Royal Challengers Bangalore
Both Josh Hazlewood and Glenn Maxwell were retained by the RCB for IPL 2023. Hazlewood took 20 wickets in the Indian Premier League 2022. He had a brilliant bowling average of just 18. Both the players played big role for RCB last year and will look to do the same this time too.

Daniel Sams is a complete T20 specialist and a genuine wicket taker, and he fits the Super Giants squad well.

Zampa has 269 wickets in T20s at an average of 22 and economy rate of 7.29. He has previously played in the IPL for RCB and Rising Pune Super Giants. The Titans retained Australian wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade. Wade did not have a successful season at all last year in the IPL. He managed to score only 157 runs at an average of 15.
