Rajasthan Royals finished at the bottom of the table last year in IPL and they will surely hope for a better season this time with a new strategy with and new faces in Rajasthan Royals squad for 2021 IPL schedule to start from 9th April, 2021.

Based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, The Rajasthan Royals is from the list of teams who have been playing IPL since its inception and they are also the side who have won the inaugural IPL trophy in 2008 under the leadership of Legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne.

RR Replacement Players

England’s Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Butler with Australia’s Andrew Tye are the players who made themselves unavailable for RR in UAE phase of 2021 IPL.

These players have been replaced by West Indian Ewin Lewis and OSahane Thomas, New Zealand’s Glen Philips and South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.

Rajasthan Royals Auction 2021

With an available budget of 34.85 crores, it was expected that Rajasthan will bid high in the IPL 2021 auctions. Chris Morris of South Africa was roped in the side for a massive amount of 16.25 crores.

It was a historical moment as Morris had a base price of just 75 lakhs, and he became the most expensive player in IPL History. Apart from Morris, RR also bagged Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rehman for 1 crore and Shivam Dube for 4.4 crores.

In all Rajasthan bought 8 players in the auction with expenditure of 24.20 crores to make RR squad 2021a strong contender for winning trophy.
