Today, IPL announced the list of shortlisted candidates for 2023 premier which is set to be auctioned on December 23rd, 2022.
How Many Players Shortlisted for IPL Auction 2023?
A total of 405 national and international players out of 991 names have been shortlisted for the auction ceremony of IPL 2023.
Initially, nearly 369 players were shortlisted out of the top ten teams but later 36 more players were added at the request of different team boards. This sums up 405 players who will get a chance to be represented in the auction of TATA IPL 2023.

Pinpointed cricketers are set to pass through the hammer while anticipating their long-awaited destiny on December 23rd, 2022 in Kochi. Of these 405 players shortlisted players for IPL auction of 2023, 273 are locals whereas the other 132 players are the overseas player in IPL.
On the other hand, the total number of capped players is 119 and the remaining 282 are uncapped in IPL so are with the addition of four from associate nations. Still, 87 seats are available and 30 out of them are reserved for international players.
A total of 19 lucky overseas players are ready to be slotted in the highest possible ranks with the reserved price of INR 2 crore.
Besides this, the remaining pool for auction in IPL 2023 is INR 206.5 crore for all franchises. Whereas, the highest auction purse is by Sunrisers Hyderabad which is a total of INR 42.25 crore, and the lowest one, INR 7.05 crore, is by Kolkata Knight Riders.
Each team is set to pay INR 5 crore additionally, other than their INR 90 crore salary from the auction which is going to be held on December 23rd, 2022 in Kochi. The auction will start at 14:30 IST.
Explosive batter Ishan Kishan was the most expensive player in TATA IPL 2022 auction and was set to be paid 15.25 INR Cr with the other high options named Deepak Chahar, Liam Livingstone, and many more.
