Barbados Royals formerly known as Barbados Tridents is one of the fascinating side featuring in CPL 2022 edition. Just like Jamaica Tallawah they are also have their name twice in CPL champions list. Barbados Royals will be bringing some more flair to CPL 2022 edition.

Barbados Royals Squad 2022

Barbados Royals players 2022 are a good mix of young West Indian talent and experienced overseas players. Kyle Mayers has shown great promise while batting at top of the order for West Indies and he will be accompanied by South Africa’s Quinton De Kock. New captain of Barbados Royals David Miller and explosive Pakistan batter Azam Khan will be blazing all guns in lower middle order.

Devon Thomas will be another wicket keeping option with De Kock. Rakheem Cornwall and Jason Holder will be leading the all-rounders department this year.

Bowling unit is not as much strong as it was last year. Only Holder and Hayden Walsh Jnr are the experienced blocks. Fast bowlers Oshane Thomas and Obed McCoy are talented but thin on experience.

South African batsman and T20I captain David Miller has been named as captain of Barbados Royals for CPL 2022 edition. He replaced Former West Indian Captain and one of the leading all-rounders in all forms of the game Jason Holder who headed the reigns for 4 years.

Barbados Royals Coach

Sri Lanka’s former assistant coach Trevor Penny has been named as head coach of Barbados Royals. he was also current coach or Royals franchise in IPL. he replaced former New Zealand Captain Daniel Vettor. He also coached in best t20 tournaments including franchises in IPL and S. Lucia Zouks in CPL as well.

Owner of Indian Premier League franchise Rajastah Royals Manoj Badale and Manish Patel are the new owners of Barbados tridents and subsequently the name of the team is now changed to Barbados Royals.
