Like many other franchise T20 leagues presence of Pakistan players in CPL 2022 is also prominent with many young and experience Pakistani Players in CPL representing 3 CPL Teams this year comparing to 6 in last edition of Caribbean Premier League.

Pakistan Cricketers in CPL 2022

This year only 04 Pakistan players will take part in 2022 CPL edition comparing to 11 during last season. The reason for drop in player count is international commitment as well as PCB’s policy to manage players work load ahead of busy international schedule. Asia Cup 2022 Schedule coincides with CPL opening half.

  • Azam Khan will continue his stint with Barbados Royals during CPL 2022 edition.
  • Imad Wasim will also play for Jamaica Tallawah just like he did last year. This year he will be joined by fats bowler Mohammad Amir who represented Barbados Royals last year.
  • Budding all-rounder and highly rated in Pakistan young talent Qasim Akram will have his first taste of one of top cricket leagues as he will play for CPL in St Kitts and Nevis Patriots team.

As many 11 Pakistani cricketers playing CPL 2021 for all six teams. Other than Trinbago Knight Riders which has signed Yasir Shah as their overseas players all other teams have picked 2 Pakistan cricketers in CPL 2021 squad. With announced CPL 2021 Time Table many Pakistani cricketers will be available for whole Caribbean Premier League 2021 edition.
