Jamaica Tallawahs is one of the strongest teams of CPL history and they are currently the defending champions of CPL. They won the inaugural edition of CPL in 2013, then they won again in 2016 and their last trophy win was in 2022.

Jamaica Tallawahs made some major changes to their squad for CPL 2023, including trading their title winning captain from last year, Rovman Powell. Powell was traded to Barbados Royals and Hayden Walsh Jnr moved to Jamaica Tallawahs.

Among the foreigners, Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim and Chris Green who have been a part of the top cricketing leagues around the globe will continue for Jamaica Tallwahs. Mohammad Nabi will not be in action for them this time.

Overseas Players in Jamaica Tallawahs

The Tallawahs have a good looking pool of overseas players. They retained the Pakistani duo of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim from last year’s campaign. Both played a key role in Tallawahs’ success. Moreover, the Aussies Ben Cutting and Chris Green will also be a part of Tallawahs. To further strengthen their pace attack, Naveen-ul-Haq from Afghanistan was also picked in the CPL draft by Jamaica.

The owner of Jamaica Tallawahs in Caribbean Premier League is Kris Persaud who bough ownership of this CPL franchise through Worldwide Sports Management Group. He is also the founder and president of Worldwide Sports Management Group. He bought the ownership in 2017 and have all rights till 2023.

Jamaica Sponsor in CPL 2023

India’s online gaming platform Paytm First Games is the title sponsor of Jamaica Tallawahs in Caribbean League. They acquired the sponsorship of one of the exciting CPL teams in 2020.
