2022 Asia Cup Schedule, Squads, Venues

Asia cup 2022 is all set to take place in August, 2022 after so many delays and changes finally the schedule of Asia Cup is rolled out. 6 team tournament will commence from August 27, 2022 in United Arab Emirates. Whereas qualifying round will be played between 04 teams from August 20, 2022.

Asia Cup 2022 Qualifiers

Asia Cup Qualifiers Format

Four teams will play the qualifiers of Asia Cup 2022 starting from 20th August, 2022. All four teams will play each other once before the top team from the qualifying phase will join Pakistan and India in Group A.

Four teams of qualifying rounds are:

  • UAE
  • Kuwait
  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong (Qualified)

Asia Cup 2022 Format

Asia cup 2022 will be played in a T20 format and that will be a golden opportunity for Asian teams to test their strength and harness their skills before the start of mega event ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in October.

Teams in Asia Cup 2022 has been divided in two  groups A & B. All group teams will play against each other during group matches & top two teams from each group will qualify for the super 4 phase of the tournament.

Super 04 phase is also played on the round robin league where all teams will face each other once and two top teams will play the final of the Asia Cup 2022 on 11th September, 2022.

Group A: Pakistan, India, Hong Kong

Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan.

Asia Cup Schedule

As per the fixtures of Asia Cup 2022 group matches will commence from August 27, 2022 when Sri Lanka take on Afghanistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Followed by the most anticipated game of the tournament between India and Pakistan.

Below time table showing that super four phase of Asia Cup will start from 2nd September, 2022. Interestingly 2022 Asia Cup schedule doesn’t have rest days in between except before the final which has a gap of one day.
