BJ Watling and Kyle Jamieson did what was required as after splendid century by skipper Kane Williamson on day 2. Williamson completed his 23rd test century and second in as many.

Batting pair of Watling and Jamieson pit 66 runs stand for 7th wicket and this can be prove to be crucial in context of the game as it help New Zealand posted 481 runs in their first innings as Kiwi lost last 4 wickets for 48 runs as Yasir Shah wrapped it up from the visitors side.

Shaheen Shah was the most successful bowler with 4 wickets and Yasir picked 3 on the second day. Naseem Shah, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Abbas all pick a wicket each to complete the proceedings in host’s first inning.

Pakistan had to face tricky period of 20 odd overs to finish the day, but Shan Masood failed to do so and got caught down the leg side 5 overs before the close of play. His partner Abid Ali see off the day with night watchman Mohammad Abbass.
