Former South African batsman Jacques Kallis appointed as England’s batting coach for upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. England will travel to Sri Lanka during January to participate in 2 test matches and 3 One Day Internationals.

Jacques who was previously working as a batting consultant for his home Side South Africa but due to so current turmoil in South African cricket board Jacques Kallis looked for other options.
During his 18 year career at top level for South Africa Kallis amassed more than 25,000 international runs for South Africa in 353 appearances punctuated with 62 international centuries.
Kallis was a all format player as his batting averages suggest. He averages more than 55 in test, 44 in ODI and 35 in T20I for South Africa.
Kallis presence in England dressing room will be of great help for England who has already rested their full time assistant coach Graham Thorpe for upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
During his playing days Kallis played 5 test matches in Sri Lanka and only managed 318 runs in 10 competed innings with 3 fifties only under his credit.
But his stature as players and his global cricketing experience will help him in his new role.
