Imad Wasim named Karachi Kings Captain for PSL 8

Just before the start of the PSL 2023 season, big news arrived from the Karachi Kings camp. Pakistan and Karachi Kings allrounder Imad Wasim named Karachi Kings captain for PSL 8 edition.

Imad Wasim previously led KK as well, and he is the only captain who led them to the glory of winning the PSL. Imad has led Karachi 41 matches during 2018-2021, which is the highest by any captain in PSL history for KK.

Imad Wasim’s tenure as KK captain was quite successful, as he maintained the highest winning percentage amongst all captains of Karachi Kings. KK won 20 out of 41 matches, during which Imad Wasim was in charge of the side.

Imad Wasim named Karachi Kings Captain for PSL 8 because Pakistan captain Babar Azam decided to part ways with the franchise and will now play for Peshawar Zalmi as a captain.

Imad Wasim is a loyal asset for Karachi Kings, and he continues to play for the side despite being replaced after a successful PSL 2020 season where he led the side to glory.

Overall new Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim has played 64 matches in HBL PSL for Karachi Kings and scored 616 runs, including two fifties, whereas he has also picked up 41 wickets so far. Other than PSL Imad also successfully represented global franchises like Jamaica Tallawahs, Melbourne Renegades, Galle Gladiators in his 269 match T20 career so far.
