Shahid Afridi Appoints as an Ambassador in T20 World Cup 2024

ICC appoints Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi as an ambassador in the T20 World Cup 2024. ICC also already appointed Chris Gayle & Usain Bolt from the West Indies and India’s Yuvraj Singh as the ambassadors of global mega event.

Shahid Afridi, a former Pakistan captain inclusion in the list of ambassadors for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 not a surprise as he was a member of Pakistan’s winning team in the 2009 T20 World Cup and was a player of the tournament.

In the talk, he expresses his feelings that the T20 World Cup is nearer to my heart. I was also a player of the tournament in the 1st T20 World Cup. He also expresses that these movements are remarkable in my life and also unforgettable.

Shahid Afridi has played 99 T20I matches and scored 1416 runs with a strike rate of 150. In his career, he hit 73 sixes and 103 fours. He also scored 4 fifties and the best score for T20I was 54* not out. Afridi was also part of major T20 leagues.

He also adds that he is excited about the Pakistan vs India match on June 9th, 2024 because this match will be played between two giant teams and also are the arch-rivals. Everyone is waiting for this match and no one wants to miss this match at the Nassau County Cricket Stadium, in New York.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will start on 1st June 2024 as per the announced schedule, and the grand final will take place on 29th June 2024. There are 20 teams that are participating in this t20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup will be played in two phases, in the 1st phase, two top teams shall qualify for the next stage and the Super 8 round commences with the 8 teams. After the Super 8 stage, the top four teams from both groups will play the Semi-final, and the winner of the Semi-finals will play the final on 29th June 2024..
