Misbah Steps Down as Chief Selector

Misbah ul Haq  has decided to resign from the post of Chief Selector after serving at the position for an year.

Misbah ul Haq who was appointed as Pakistan’s Head Coach and Chief Selector after Pakistan’s early exit from ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Misbah ul Haq already relinquished additional responsibility of batting coach earlier this year before Pakistan’s tour of England.

He is been under fire since accepting triple role in PCB setup and Pakistan’s team performance is not helping him in securing his place.

Misbah steps down from position of chief selector will help him in focusing in his prime job which is Head Coach of Pakistan.

Coaching in Pakistan regarded as one of the high profile jobs and PCB is paying a salary of 32 lacs to Misbah for his triple role in PCB.

Pertinent to note that Misbah was in the committee who expelled former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur from his job and later on applied for the position of Pakistan Head Coach.
