South Africa have played quality T20I cricket this year, and they will look to do the same in the mega event. Temba Bavuma would be leading the side but his recent form is vulnerable and he hardly scored in recently concluded series against India. South African Batters
South Africa’s top order comprises of Quinton De Kock, Reeza Hendricks and Temba Bavuma. Quinton De Kock likes to face pace bowling and on the tracks of Australia; De Kock could be very dangerous. Bavuma however has had problems in T20I cricket so far in his career. Reeza Hendricks is a 2nd choice top order batter who is in the side as a backup opener.
The Middle Order of South Africa has some serious firepower. Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klassen, David Miller, Rilee Rossouw and Tristan Stubbs. It will be tough for South Africa to adjust all of them in the same lineup. Miller and Rossouw have scored T20I hundreds this year, while Stubbs, Klassen and Markram have all been in tremendous form. South Africa’s middle order is one of the strongest in this tournament.
South African Bowlers
Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj are the two quality spinners. Both of them have wicket-taking ability, while Maharaj is slightly better with the economy. Markaram can also bowl handy spin especially in T20I cricket.
With Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Wayne Parnell and Lungi Ngidi, South Africa’s pace attack is as dangerous as it could be. Rabada, Nortje and Ngidi can bowl thunderbolts with the ball as they have extreme pace while Parnell is good with his variations too.
