Originally there were 3 Kiwi players in the CSK squad, but Kyle Jamieson was later ruled out. Mitchell Santner and Devon Conway are the two Kiwi players in the CSK Squad for IPL 2023. Both were retained by the Chennai Super Kings. In last year’s IPL, Conway scored 252 runs for CSK at an average of 42 and strike rate of 145. Santner played only 6 games, picking up 4 wickets in IPL 2022.
New Zealand Players in Kolkata Knight Riders
Speedster Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee will be the 2 players from New Zealand to feature in IPL 2023 playing for the KKR. Southee picked 14 wickets in IPL 2022 and was the third best bowler for KKR in this season. Like last season, Lockie Ferguson has injury woes and he might be out of action in the initial few games of IPL 2023.
New Zealand Players in Gujarat Titans
Although we were quite used to see Kane Williamson in Sunrisers Hyderabad colors, he will be playing for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023. Kane was brought for a price of 2 crore (INR) in the IPL Auction. He averaged 19 with the bat last season and had a strike rate of 93, hence was released by SRH.
New Zealand Players in Rajasthan Royals
The lead pacer of the Kiwis, Trent Boult will be in action for the Rajasthan Royals. He was retained by the Royals for IPL 2023. In last year’s IPL, Boult picked 16 wickets at an average of 30 for the Royals.
New Zealand Players in Royal Challengers Bangalore
Top Order batter Finn Allen and all-rounder Michael Bracewell will represent New Zealand in the RCB Squad.
Finn was retained by the RCB. Allen did not get a game in IPL 2022. However, he looked in good rhythm recently as he smashed a half century against Sri Lanka in the first ODI.
Michael Bracewell is coming as a replacement in the RCB Squad. Bracewell is a tremendous striker of the ball and he is very useful as a spinner too.

Glenn Phillips was retained in the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for IPL 2023. Phillips is a gun fielder and a tremendous batter who can bowl too. Phillips made great highlights in the ICC World T20 2022, and SRH would hope that he continues to do well in IPL 2023 as well.
