Resources are indicating the possibility of Mickey Arthur Not To Coach Pakistan, As Talk Fails With PCB due to Mickey’s ongoing contract with an English team in Derbyshire.

Recently, the Pakistan cricket board goes out on the quest for a new and worthy head coach who can lead the responsibilities of the current coach Saqlain Mushtaq, for the international team of Pakistan.

Few days back, PCB had a meaningful talk with South African coach Mickey Arthur for a new beginning but it seems to fall through as the said candidate is occupied with a signed contract and cannot retrieve his services immediately.

So, Pakistani board has called off the conversation and consultancy through an official statement which is summarized as “difficult to materialize for various reasons on both sides.

Arthur used to be beside the Pakistani team as their head coach from 2016 to 2019 and won many top listed titles for them. Some of the entries are winning the champions trophy 2017 and reaching the highest point of ICC’s t20I rankings etc.

According to recent news, PCB chairman, Najam Sethi contacted Mickey Arthur on December 27th for resuming his activities but was left with the same search of looking out for more names.

PCB announced that “some top names are in consideration” and the board will soon announce the successor of Saqlain Mushtaq after the contract tenure, which is going to end in February this year.
