There are many t20 leagues taking place in all parts of the world throughout the year but the charm and anticipation for ICC T20 WC are still there in cricket fans. The most awaited tournament of the year is just about to start as the T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule is finalized and revealed.

The 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA this year as many as 20 teams are part of the T20 WC. The WT20 2024 start date is June 1 and Dallas will host the opening game of the tournament when co-host USA will take on Canada.

ICC WT20 Group

20 teams are placed in four groups containing 5 teams each. 

  • Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Canada and Ireland
  • Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland and Oman
  • Group C: West Indies, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda and Papua New Guinea
  •  Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal

T20 World Cup 2024 Format

T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule suggest that tournament will take place in two phases. First group matches and than Super 8 phase. In the Super 8 Phase teams will be placed in two groups and matches will take place in round robin league with the top two team teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

As per fixtures of T20 World Cup 2024 fifty five matches will held in 9 different venues. 6 in the West Indies whereas 3 venues in USA will host the games in WT20 2024.
