West Indies Players in London Spirit
All-rounder Andre Russell and batter Shimron Hetmyer will play for London Spirit this year in the Hundred. Russell previously played for Southern Brave in 2021. Russell averaged 26 with the bat with a strike rate of 165 with the bat and also took 11 wickets in 7 games during the World T20 2024. He also batted brilliantly in the initial games of the Major League Cricket 2024.
Meanwhile Shimron Hetmyer will feature in the Hundred for the very first time. Hetmyer was last seen playing the warm-up game of World T20 2024 against Australia and he has been out of action ever since.
West Indies Players in Southern Brave
Southern Brave will have the services of Kieron Pollard and Akeal Hosein. Kieron Pollard has been enjoying duality of roles. He coaches in some leagues, like IPL, while takes part as an active player in some, like PSL, the Hundred etc. Kieron Pollard has been on a flop show with the bat in the Major League Cricket 2024, however he has bowled very good spells with the ball. KP has great experience and he will surely bring great expertise to the side.
Meanwhile Akeal Hosein will play for the first time in the Hundred 2024. Akeal picked 9 wickets in 7 matches of the ICC World T20 2024. Akeal has developed a good reputation as a handy batter too, as he showed he can hit the ball a mile in HBL PSL 2024, where he also picked a hat trick.
Caribbean Players in Trent Rockets
The Captain of the Caribbean side, Rovman Powell will play for the Rockets in the Hundred 2024. Powell averaged 17 with a strike rate of 143 in the ICC World T20 2024. With close to 4000 runs in his T20 career, Powell is a force to reckon when he is in form. He will play in the Hundred for the first time. He has been out of action since the World T20 2024.
West Indies Players in Northern Superchargers
Explosive wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran will feature for the Superchargers in the hundred this year. Pooran had a blast in the ICC World T20 2024 where he scored 228 runs at an average of 38 with a strike rate of 146. Pooran has also never played the Hundred previously. He is in tremendous form as seen in the World T20 2024 and Major League Cricket 2024.
