Abrar Ahmed is the 2nd Pakistani to achieve this feat after pace bowler Muhammad Zahid who had the figures of 11 for 130 against New Zealand in 1996. Abrar still has plenty to bowl in the 2nd innings, so he can even overtake Zahid as well. England still have 5 wickets in hand and with the track having more and more cracks as the days pass, Abrar has a good chance to even record another fifer in the 2nd innings.

Overall he is the 18th bowler in the history of test cricket to have 10 wickets on debut and just the 5th Asian to achieve this feat as well.

Abrar came into the limelight after a stellar season in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2022 where he ended as a top wicket taker. He captured 44 wickets in just 07 appearances for Sindh.
