New Zeland’s injury prone fast bowler Geoff Allot once made a name for himself in bating department. In a test match at Auckland in 1999 vs South Africa against the likes of Allan Donald, Shaun Pollock & Lance Klusener. He came to bat at customary # 11 position and held his fort for 77 balls & 101 minutes to become a player to score a “0” after facing most # of balls in test innings.
Interestingly during 10 test matches of his career he scored just 27 runs with a single boundry to his name. After several injuries his career was cut short despite his heroics with the ball in 1999 world cup.
