India is in West Indies to play 3 ODI matches and 5 T20I games during July and August, 2022. West Indies just lost a T20I and ODI series to Bangladesh whereas India is carrying a wining form with wins in Ireland and England tour in limited overs format.

After dominating West Indies in 3 match ODI series which India won by 3-0 India started didn’t lose winning momentum in T20I an won the opening match of the 5 match series by healthy margin of 68 runs but West Indies put a fight back and won 2nd T20I of the series.

Obed McCoy’s career best figures of 6/17 restricted strong Indian batting lineup to mediocre score of 138 runs. In response Brandon King and Devon Thomas ensured West Indies victory in final over the game but other batters didn’t impressed much including captain Pooran and returning Hetmyer.

West Indies brought back Shimron Hetmyer for T20I matches which will boost their middle order batting as Hetmyer is one of the explosive batters in T20 cricket now a days but he is unable to create any impression during first couple of matches of the series. Kyle Mayers is in good hitting form and West Indies expect some fireworks from him at the top.

Nicholas Pooran showed first glimpses of his batting talent since becoming captain in ODI series. He will be a player to watch out from West Indian unit.
