Yasir Shah – 2nd fastest bowler to take 150 test wickets

Pakistan’s Yasir Shah have his name registered in cricket record books when he snaffled Srilankan opener Lahiru Thirimanne wicket by trapping him in front of the wickets in first half of ongoing test between Pakistan and Srilanka in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Yasir becomes the second fastest bowler to complete 150 test wickets in terms of test matches played. He joined Pakistan’s former speed star Waqar Younis on the second spot who also achieve this feat in his 27 test match back in 1994 vs New Zealand.



England’s Sydney Barnes had have held the record of fastest bowler to get 150 test wickets since 1901; Barnes achieved this feat in hi 24th test match.

Currently ranked # 15th in ICC test ranking Yasir Shah made his debut for Pakistan in October 2014 against Australia and since then he has given so many match winning performances for Pakistan in test arena, most notable his 10 wicket haul at Lords against England in 2016 which also made him the first leg spinner in 11 years to be rated as world’s #1 bowler in test cricket.
