Good News for Imran Nazir Fans

Whenever a video or news get on aired regarding flamboyant opening batsman Imran Nazir coming back to action, fans following cricket since 90’s and early 2000 goes back down to the memory lane and start cherishing old videos of effortless hitting of Imran Nazir.

Imran Nazir a gifted right handed opening  batsman with ability to time the ball all along the ground and lob the ball in the stands with his effortless cut and pull shots. Imran Nzair is out of all forms of cricket since 2014. Imran Nazir suffered a bone disease which kept him out of the game but a video aired on different websites few months back in which Imran Nazir updating his fans about his recovery and plans of making a comeback. In same video he also thanked Shahid Afridi and Shahaid Afridi Foundation for supporting him in hard times and made arrangements for his treatment in USA.

Imran Nazir who had represented Pakistan in 8 test matches, 79 one day internationals and 25 t20 internationals since making his debut for Pakistan way back in 1999. Imran scored close to 3000 international runs across all formats with 4 international centuries to his name.

As Imran Nazir showing intentions of making comeback to competitive cricket in next 3-4 months, the question arises as he is closing in on his 36th birthday in December 2017. Will he have enough time under his belt to make a comeback to international circuit after putting up some strong performance sin domestic cricket and events like Pakistan Super league?



There is no doubt in Imran Nazir’s abilities but the intense competition already in the side with emergence of guys like Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam will make it hard for Imran Nazir to put up his case once again. But definitely Imran Nazir can make a living for himself by playing in t20 leagues across the globes as this is the format which is most suited to his style of play. He currently has strike rate of 135 runs per 100 balls in international t20’s and strike rate of 1498 runs per 100 balls in domestic T20’s.

Whether he made a come back or not we wish him a speedy recovery as his ever smiling face made him famous among the fans in Pakistan and worldwide.
