One of the best fielders in Wes Indies unit of 1980’s was Gus Logie. He was pretty agile with in the circle and once won man of the match award in 1986 at Sharjah against Pakistan because of his fielding.
He took 3 catches and effected two run outs in the Pakistan innings which played the pivotal role in bowling out Pakistan for a mediocre total.
In all Gus logie made 52 test appearances for WestINdies since his test debut in 1983 till 1991 and scored closed to 2500 test runs. To break into a test batting line up which was already filled with greats of the game with likes of Clive Lloyd, Viv Richards, Desmind Haynes & Gordon Greindge; Gus Logie hold his place not only because of his batting but also because of his agility in the field. he took 57 test catches in the test arena.
