Explosive batsman Azam Khan who remain under fire on accusation of nepotism as he is the son of Moin Khan who is also a former Pakistan captain and wicket keeper and also nephew former test cricketer Nadeem Khan who is also Director of PCB’s High Performance Centre.

Azam Khan Biography

Azam Khan born in Karachi on 10 August, 1998 and made his List A debut in 2018 by representing Pakistan Television in Quaid-e-Azam one day cup 2018. He is yet to make his first class debut but already making headlines in Pakistan cricket.

Azam came into lime light when Quetta Gladiators picked him in PSL 2019. However the owner of Quetta Gladiators Nadeem Omar is a big fan of his batting. Azam Khan didn’t get a chance make his PSL debut instantly but in following season he made his presence felt by scoring a 30 ball 46 in wining effort against Karachi Kings PSL 2020 game and got man of the match award for his efforts.

He made his presence felt by scoring 150 runs in 9 outings for Quetta Gladiators during PSL 2020 but his strike rate of over 130 runs per 100 balls enhanced his reputation as clean striker of the cricket ball.

Azam Khan PSL 2021 Stats are not much to talk about as he only managed to score 159 runs in 9 games for Quetta Gladiators with an average of 17 runs with best of 47.

Azam Khan LPL 2020

Azam Khan was also selected to play Lanka Premiere League 2020 for Galle Gladiators who is also owned by Nadeem Omar and left his mark as he was the 10th highest scorer of the league with 215 runs in 10 outings with staggering strike rate of 186 runs per 100 balls and 16 sixes.

Azam Khan First Class Career

Azam Khan made his list a debut in 2018 as a wicket keeper batsman and since then featured in 15 games till now without much success as he only manages to score 239 runs at an average of 29 but his strike rate of 121 runs per 100 balls showcasing his hitting ability.

During December 2020 Azam Khan made his first class debut for Sindh and scored 50 runs across 2 innings. Till date these are Azam’s only credentials in list A and first class cricket.

During national t20 cup 2020 where Azam Khan represented Sindh and scored 268 runs in 11 outings including 2 fifties but the highlight of his stint was astonishing strike rate of 168 runs per 100 balls..

Undoubtedly his ability of hitting big clean sixes is one of the sights of the season as his 19 sixes was the third most by a batsman in national T20 cup

Though he was overweight big time and his father was the coach of the franchise which selected him in a supplementary category and the criticism start pouring in from all corners of Pakistan cricket as he got picked without much top level cricket experience behind him.

Surprisingly 22 year old right handed batsman was overweight when he started his career but Azam Khan weight loss was 30 KG 2020 to make himself fit according to needs of the modern game.
